2022 Street Paving Program

The Town of Salisbury is happy to announce our 2022 Street Paving Program. The Town will invest about $1 million in 2022 to upgrade the condition of several streets.  With support from an appropriation of $700,000 at the 2021 Fall Town Meeting and money from the State's Chapter 90 program, six (6) streets will be re-paved and/or reconstructed this year.  This will be the largest single investment in road re-paving in several years.

Pike Street (from Toll Road to Lafayette Road), Collins Street (from Lafayette Road to the NH border) and Blacksnake Road are scheduled to be completed this spring.  Longmeadow Drive, Ferry Road (from Beach Road to Grover Street) and Glenwood Road are scheduled to be done in the fall.  This investment is part of a multi-year program to tackle road repair and implement upgrades to the condition of several Town roads that are in poor condition.

Pike, Collins and Blacksnake Paving

Update: Reclamation will begin on Blacksnake Road on Wednesday, May 10th.

The Town has contracted with D&R Paving to pave Pike Street, Collins Street, and Blacksnake Road. They will be doing the work over the next few weeks. Tasks include adjusting structures (manholes and gate boxes), reclamation/pulverizing including rough and fine grading, binder coat of asphalt, and top coat of asphalt.

The proposed schedule is below. These tasks are weather dependent so there could be some last-minute changes. We will post any changes from D&R on this page. Any necessary traffic management plans will be well signed.

This project has been impacted by COVID-19 in that there have been some supply chain issues. We appreciate your patience as we all make our way through these confusing times.
