CodeRED Emergency Notification System Update

CodeRed

The Town of Salisbury participates in CodeRED, a voluntary subscription service used by thousands of local governments and public safety agencies across the country. Commonly known as Salisbury’s reverse 911 system, CodeRED enables residents to receive timely emergency alerts and important community notifications. These may include snow emergencies, water service interruptions, paving schedules, and other significant service impacts.

Messages are delivered through automated phone calls, text messages, and email, ensuring residents stay informed during critical events.

With the system’s recent upgrade, CodeRED phone calls will no longer come from a Salisbury phone number. All automated calls will now originate from a Seattle-based number: 206‑536‑3696. Residents are encouraged to save this number so they recognize it during an emergency notification.

In November, the CodeRED platform was temporarily taken offline following a nationwide cyberattack. Service has since been restored, but all users are required to update their login credentials.

Staying connected helps keep our community safe and informed.
