The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Salisbury, Massachusetts, is soliciting proposals to dispose of three (3) parcels of Town-owned land with improvements thereon located on 17 Cable Avenue, 18 Railroad Avenue and 24 Railroad Avenue, Salisbury, Massachusetts (collectively, the “Town Property”). 

Proposal packages may be obtained from the Office of Planning and Development, Salisbury Town Hall, 5 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952, Phone: (978) 463-2266, or by contacting Lisa Pearson, Planning Director at planningdept@salisburyma.gov, Mondays, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays, and 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays (holidays excepted).   Appointments for viewing the Town Property may be made by calling the Office of Planning and Development at the above phone number.

The Town will award the Town Property, if at all, to the proposer whose proposal is deemed by the Town to be the most advantageous, taking into consideration proposed use and/or the monetary consideration offered.  

The successful proposer must be prepared to enter into a Purchase and Sale Agreement within thirty (30) days from the date on which the Town has made the award under this Request for Proposals.

Proposals must be submitted by 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at which time all proposals will be opened publicly.  Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked the Office of Planning and Development, Salisbury Town Hall, 5 Beach Road, Salisbury, MA 01952 at “Town of Salisbury Proposal for Land former Police Station” in the lower left corner.  Fax submissions will not be accepted.

No proposer may withdraw his or her proposal for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days after the date set for the opening thereof.  The awarding authority is the Board of Selectmen.

The Town has determined that this transaction is subject to the Uniform Procurement Act, G.L. c. 30B.  Therefore, the provisions of G.L. c. 30B are hereby incorporated by reference in this

Request for Proposals (“RFP”).  The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to negotiate any and all non-mandatory contract terms with the successful proposer, or to cancel this procurement at any time if it is in the Town’s best interest to do so.
