North End Blvd Presentation

On November 19, the Town hosted a remote Zoom meeting for the Mass. Dept. of Transportation and its consultant, Jacobs Engineering Group, to present two alternative concepts for an eventual reconstruction project for North End Boulevard.  About 100 property owners participated in the meeting.  A Power Point presentation of the slides presented at the meeting is attached.  Both alternatives feature new paving, improved safety measures at crosswalks, accommodation for bicycles, and major improvements to drainage along the 2-mile stretch from Beach Road to the New Hampshire border.

In order for the project to advance to the next stage, the Town, in consultation, with residents, needs to select one of the two alternatives, so that MassDOT can have its consultants proceed with the design process, which includes future public hearings and securing funding for construction.  This will be a multi-year process.  The Town will keep residents informed about the progress of this project.
