Backflow Testing

Backflow Prevention Device

The Town of Salisbury’s Water Division (SWD) is working on the first-round of testing for backflow prevention devices.

Backflow prevention devices are used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. Backflow testing is mandatory per MassDEP Cross Connection Control Program Regulations - 310 CMR 22.22(13). The fee for this service is $75.00.

You may contact the Town of Salisbury’s Water Division at (978) 465-1430 or watersewer@salisburyma.gov to schedule your appointment. Appointments will be available during regular business hours; Monday - Friday between 7:00am and 3:00pm. Please note, someone will need to be present to allow the technician to gain access to the backflow prevention device.
