Invitation to Bid
Park Improvements
Sealed bids for the Town of Salisbury’s LIONSDugOut-24 / LIONS PARK, will be received at the Salisbury Town Hall, Parks and Recreation, 5 Beach Road, Salisbury MA 01952, until 12:00 PM prevailing time, on February 8, 2024 at which time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Colchester Room (2nd floor) at the same address.
Sealed proposals sent through the mail shall be mailed to: Salisbury Town Hall, Attn: Parks and Recreation, 5 Beach Rd, Salisbury, MA 01952 and clearly marked “LIONS PARK DUGOUT REPLACEMENT – 24.”
The scope of work includes a contract to purchase and install Dug out Shelters that meet the specifications provided for recreational sites.
Bid Deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of 5% (five percent) of the bid. Additionally, the successful bidder must supply a 50% payment bond prior to the execution of a contract with the Town.
The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in these specifications.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30 § 39M, as amended.
Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.
By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.
The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest price for the services as specified in the contract documents.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
