Adopt-a-Bench & Adopt-a-Brick Programs
The Town of Salisbury is offering the following programs:
1. Adopt-a-Bench & Support Salisbury’s Beach Boardwalk
How to Adopt - Adopting a bench will allow you to honor or memorialize someone by purchasing the bench and installing an engraved plaque thereon. Please email planningdept@salisburyma.gov with inquiries regarding application and costs. The benches are permanent fixtures on the Boardwalk and their adoption shall be a one-time donation for the lifetime of the bench. The funds generated from this program will support the re-vitalization of Salisbury’s Beach Center.
2. Adopt-a-Bench & Support Salisbury’s Rail Trail
How to Adopt - Please email planningdept@salisburyma.gov with inquiries regarding application and costs. Adopting a bench will help fund the maintenance of the trails and will allow you to honor or memorialize someone, through the engraving of the top of the granite block. The Town of Salisbury is participating with Coastal Trails Coalition, Inc. to bring you this program. Please visit the Coastal Trails Coalition website if you would like to learn more about what CTC does for our communities.
3. Adopt-a-Bench & Support Salisbury’s Town Common
How to Adopt - Adopting a bench will allow you to honor or memorialize a loved one by installing an engraved plaque. The benches are permanent fixtures on the Town Common and their adoption shall be a one-time donation for the lifetime of the bench. The funds generated from this program will help support maintain the Town Common. Please email planningdept@salisburyma.gov with inquiries regarding application and costs.
4. Adopt-a-Brick & Support Salisbury’s Town Common
How to Adopt - Adopting a brick will allow you to honor or memorialize a loved one by installing an engraved plaque with a one-time donation of $150. The bricks are permanent fixtures on the Town Common and their adoption shall be a one-time donation for the lifetime of the brick. The funds generated from this program will help support maintain the Town Common.
About the Program - The area directly surrounding the honor roll shall be dedicated to the memory of those who served their country in any of the branches of the United States Armed Services. Individuals & organizations may order brick(s) and inscribe them with a personalized message that memorializes and honors those loved ones.
