Town Switching to Quarterly Water Billing

The Town has been planning for more than a year to take over the operation, maintenance and billing for its water supply system, which has been managed by Pennichuck Water Services Co. for the past 20 years.  This takeover will take place on July 1, 2022.  Operationally, most things will remain the same, except that the Town will institute a quarterly billing system for water.  The vast majority of the Town’s water customers will see their next water bill combined with the sewer bills that are going out after July 1.  For about 275 water customers whose water bills for any particular property are sent to a different address than sewer bills for the same property, those bills will continue to be sent separately, but only four times a year.

The Town is creating a new Water Division within the Dept. of Public Works, with a dedicated email address and phone number.  Customers with questions about the new water billing system are encouraged to contact the Water Division by calling (978) 465-1430 or via email at: watersewer@salisburyma.gov.
