Seasonal Residents - Emergency Order

The Town of Salisbury is ending its temporary moratorium on seasonal water meter installations for owner-occupied summer homes.  In conjunction with this updated policy, the Town’s Health Department has issued an order requiring those property owners coming to town for the summer to self-quarantine for 14 days and follow other orders and guidelines issued by the Governor re: the Coronavirus situation.

Pennichuck Water Services Company, with whom the Town contracts to administer its Water Department, will begin the installation of seasonal water meters on or about Monday, May 4.  The temporary moratorium on installing seasonal water service is still in place, however, for seasonal rental properties, in accordance with guidelines issued by the State, which prohibit short-term rentals.   The town will re-visit the issue of seasonal water meters for summer rentals before May 18.
