Adopt-a-Trail

 

Salisbury has built beautiful rail trails, but help is needed to keep them attractive over the years. You can help the trails by participating in the Salisbury Coastal Trails Adopt-a-Trail program. This will allow you to demonstrate your support of Salisbury’s Coastal Trails to the many local people and visitors who use the trails every day. All of the funds raised will be used to maintain and improve Salisbury’s Coastal Trails.

Here are the details:

  1. We have installed mileposts every one-tenth of a mile along the 1.4-mile Old Eastern Marsh Trail and the 1.8-mile Salisbury Point Ghost Trail.

  2. An attractive 5" by 8" sign on each milepost will show its exact location on the trail. This will allow Salisbury’s public safety personnel to respond promptly to any emergency.

  3. The signs will also display the name and contact information of a trail sponsor, with the option to add the sponsor’s logo as well.

  4. Sponsors will make annual contributions as follows:

    5.         Old Eastern Marsh Trail:       $250 per sign
            Salisbury Point Ghost Trail:   $150 per sign

  5. All of the Old Eastern Marsh Trail sign locations are taken for 2011. We still have a few locations available on the Salisbury Point Ghost Trail. Here is a current list of sponsors and the available locations.
