Special Link: Salisbury (Essex County) Flood Insurance Risk Maps (FIRM)

SCTV has posted the revised (Essex County) maps of Salisbury created by FEMA in .pdf format. This revision places many more Salisbury homes in the high-risk zone.

Click on a map title to download and view a .pdf map. A locator map is at right. Salisbury Beach North Salisbury Beach Center and South Town Square to Rings Island Northwest -- reads 'no maps' but one exists North of Town Center Southwest along Merrimack Caution: These maps are large files, some almost 10 Megabytes. At first you might see just a blank white page. Be patient; they will come depending on your Internet connection speed. You might save a copy to your computer so you won't have to download again.

You must have the free Adobe Reader to see these maps. If it’s not installed on your computer, click here to go to their download page.

To navigate on the map and its legend, use the hand tool to pan and the magnifying glass to zoom. Or, use the scroll bars. By using the tools to focus on an area, you should be able to tell if that place is in the highest hazard zone or not.
