1, 2008 Meeting
Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by
Joanne Housianitis. Members present: Joanne Housianitis, Anthony Tuccelli, Cheryl
Papandrea and Andrea Brochu, SBOH Secretary.
Old Business:
1. Status of town counsel’s review of information submitted by
Brent Cummings regarding tattoo and body piercing.
We have not gotten a response from town counsel
yet. Status on next agenda for July 15,
2008 meeting.
2. Discussion regarding how to publicize Housing Inspections
and Rental Permit Regulations.
Andrea will check with Neil to see if we can send a
notice to publicize the new regulations in the water or tax bills.
New Business:
1. Guest Speaker: Karin Carroll, Tobacco Control Program to
speak about results of tobacco compliance checks in
Karin provided the board with a report of the
compliance checks that were completed in
Licenses/Building Permits:
1. New
License: Food/Take-Out; Bucciarelli’s Meat Market
SBOH Action: Motion made by Cheryl Papandrea;
seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve food license pending
final inspection by the Health Officer.
2. New
License: Prepackaged Food; Hank’s Franks, Etc.
SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony
Tuccelli; seconded by Cheryl Papandrea.
Unanimously voted to approve prepackaged food license.
3. License
Renewal: Food; Chef Howie’s Hobo Cafe
SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony
Tuccelli; seconded by Cheryl Papandrea.
Unanimously voted to renew food license contingent upon inspection by
the Health Officer.

Unanimously voted to renew pool licenses.

Unanimously voted to renew tobacco licenses.

Renewal: Tobacco;

Unanimously voted to renew tobacco license pending inspection by the
Health Officer.
9. License
Renewal: Tobacco;
SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony

Unanimously voted to renew tobacco license pending inspection by the
Health Officer.
10. License
Renewal (New Owner): Tobacco; Richdale Convenience
SBOH Action: Motion made by Cheryl
Papandrea; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli.
Unanimously voted to renew tobacco license pending inspection by the
Health Officer.
Other Issues:
1. Contract with HomeCare, Inc.
We are waiting for revision from HomeCare, Inc. with
the added paragraph that the Board suggested.
Health Officer Report/Correspondence:
None.
Members Report:
Tony
had a question relative to the tobacco compliance checks and whether the stores
that sold to underage buyers were fined.
Joanne answered no because the compliance checks conducted are for
educational purposes.
