Minutes from March 18, 2008 Meeting

Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Louis Masiello. Members present: Louis Masiello, Linda Firth, Anthony Tuccelli, Joanne Housianitis, and Andrea Brochu, SBOH Secretary.

Public Comments: None.

Old Business:

1. Health Fair – The health fair is coming up on Saturday, March 29^th from 9:00-12:00.

2. Discussion regarding late fees – Andrea will re-draft renewal letter for 2009 and send in weekly packet.

3. 47 Kendall Lane – Robert Fraser has a meeting set up with Attorney Desfosses on March 25^th.

New Business: None.

Licenses/Building Permits:

1. 85 Folly Mill Road: Septic System Repair

SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony Tuccelli; seconded by Linda Firth. Unanimously voted to approve septic plan.

2. License New: Food/Take-Out; Off the Hook

SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony Tuccelli; seconded by Linda Firth. Unanimously voted to approve license, contingent upon Health Officer’s inspection.

3. License Renewals: Food; Ruby’s Kitchen, Jackie’s Place, Simons Roast Beef, Fishtale Diner

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to renew food licenses for items 3 through 6 on the agenda pending inspection by the Health Officer.

7. License Renewal: Prepackaged Food with Milk; R&L Liquors, 5 Yogi Convenience, Salisbury Beverage

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to renew food licenses for items 7 through 9 on the agenda.

10. License Renewal: Mobile Trailer Park; Carmel Realty Trust

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to renew license pending inspection by the Health Officer.

11. License Renewal: Motel; Shoreline Motel

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to renew license pending inspection by the Health Officer.

12. License Renewal: Septic Installer; George Fowler, Benjamin Fowler

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to renew licenses for items 12 and 13 on the agenda.

14. License Renewal: Tobacco; R&L Liquors

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to renew license.

Other Issues:

1. Linda Firth spoke about flu season and the children who have died according to the news. The Mass DPH website has more information. If you do not have internet access, the DPH telephone number is (617) 983-6800.

Health Officer Report/Correspondence: None.

Members Report:

1. Win Damon at WNBP did an interview last year with Linda Firth and Lou Masiello about the health fair. Andrea will call and try to schedule an interview.
