Minutes from September 18, 2007 Meeting

 

Call to Order:  Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Louis Masiello, Chairman.  Members present: Louis Masiello, Linda Firth, Anthony Tuccelli, Joanne Housianitis, Andrea Brochu, SBOH Secretary and Robert Fraser, Interim Health Agent.  

 

Public Comments: None.

 

Old Business:  Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Joanne Housianitis to ask Robert Fraser to serve as liaison with Home Care, Inc.

 

New Business: None.

 

Licenses/Building Permits:

 

1.                  Local Upgrade: Septic System: 37 Folly Mill Road

SBOH Action:  Motion made by Anthony Tuccelli; seconded by Joanne Housianitis.  Unanimously voted to approve upgrade with the condition that cleanouts be raised to ground level.   

 

2.                  License New Massage Therapy: Frank Senia, All About You Bodyworks, 15 Main Street, Suite 212  

SBOH Action:  Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Linda Firth.   Unanimously voted to approve new license.

 

3.                  License New: Massage Therapy: Amanda Chapman, All About You Bodyworks, 15 Main Street, Suite 212 

SBOH Action:  Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli    Unanimously voted to approve new license.

 

4.                  License Renewal: Tobacco: Salisbury Mini-Mart, Inc., 192 Elm Street

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to renew tobacco license.

 

Other Issues:

 

1.                  Lew submitted Tattoo Regulations from the year 2000.  Board will get copies in weekly for their review.

2.                  Mutual Aid Agreement will be retyped and given to Neil Harrington to submit to Town Counsel.

 

Health Officer Report/Correspondence:  None.

 

Members Report: 

 

1.                  Linda Firth spoke about the rabid skunk situation that had been in the newspaper this week.

2.                  Horses for Horses Fundraiser:  Nevins Farm is going to pay a DCR employee to clean up the beach after the horse ride.

 

3.                  Flu season will be here late September/early October.  Be sure to call your doctor’s office for a flu vaccine.  The Board of Health will also be offering a clinic in November.

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve meeting minutes of August 21, 2007.
