Minutes from August 21, 2007 Meeting

Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:59 p.m. by Louis Masiello, Chairman. Members present: Louis Masiello, Linda Firth, Anthony Tuccelli, Joanne Housianitis, and Andrea Brochu, SBOH Secretary.

Public Comments: None

Old Business:

Alexander Parker reviewed the documentation that White Knight provided. He recommends that the installers test be taken and upon passing, a license will be issued. Alex presented a checklist that he drafted for installation.

Home Care, Inc. did not provide us with a letter but requested that we appoint one member to be the liaison. The board would like a letter of exactly what the liaison will consist of. If they have questions after receiving the letter, then they will request them to come to a meeting.

New Business:

The EMS letter which the BOH received was given to Bob Cook. He will talk to the Fire Chief to see if the letter should have been directed to him.

Licenses/Building Permits:

1. New Food License: Chef’s Old World Café, 203 Lafayette Road

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Linda Firth. Unanimously voted to approve contingent upon the Health Office be provided with the Choke Save Certificate and also upon inspection by the Health Officer.

2. License renewal: Food/New Ownership: Haley’s Diner, 6 Elm Street

SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony Tuccelli; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to approve with condition that the Health Office is provided with the Choke Save Certificate, Food Safety Certificate and inspection by the Health Officer.

3. License renewal: Prepackaged Food with Milk; Denise’s, 185 North End Blvd.

SBOH Action: Motion made by Anthony Tuccelli; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to approve contingent upon inspection by Health Officer.

4. License renewal: Family Campground; Pine’s Camping Area, 28 CCC Road

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda Firth; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve contingent upon inspection by Health Officer.

5. License renewal: Family Campground; Seaside Resorts, Inc., 3 Liberty Street

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda First; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve contingent upon inspection by Health Officer.

6. License renewal: Pool; Pine’s Camping Area, 28 CCC Road

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve.

7. License renewal: Tobacco; Denise’s, 185 North End Blvd.

SBOH Action: Motion made by Linda First; seconded by Joanne Housianitis. Unanimously voted to approve contingent upon inspection by Health Officer.

Other Issues:

1. EEE Alert. A case has been reported in Newton, New Hampshire. The most prevalent time for EEE is August until late October/November. Use a mosquito repellant with Deet. Symptoms are flu-like symptoms, headache, fever, neck pain, dizziness and confusion.

2. Horses for Horses Fundraiser on September 30, 2007. A motion was made by Joanne Housianitis, Seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to write a letter of the cleanup concerns after the event to Mike Magnifico with a copy to Nevins Farm.

Health Officer Report/Correspondence: None.

Members Report:

Motion was made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to have town counsel review Floor Drain Regulations when final draft is complete.

Accept Minutes of Previous Meeting:

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Linda Firth. Unanimously voted to approve meeting minutes of July 17, 2007.

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Linda Firth. Unanimously voted to approve meeting minutes of August 7, 2007.

SBOH Action: Motion made by Joanne Housianitis; seconded by Anthony Tuccelli. Unanimously voted to approve meeting minutes of August 14, 2007.
